The Unique W1UL Ham Cram Expert Mode of Study
A Ham Cram candidate may optionally chose to study and take practice tests in "Expert Mode" which is one of the unique features candidate of the W1UL Ham Cram method. Expert mode is settable in the user's profile and when set allows a candidate to study and test using only the questions which a panel of 4 experts have selected as likely to be on the actual VE exam. These experts all hold extra class licenses and have a combined total of over 200 years of ham radio experience. If expert mode is not selected the entire question pool is used when studying and testing.
FCC Rule Rule 97.534
FCC Rule 97.534 stipulates that the question pool for each class of license must contain at least ten times the number of questions required for a single examination. The table below demonstrates the impact of this rule.License

Expert Mode is Switchable
The use of Expert Mode can substantially reduce you preparation time. Are there questions on the actual test that the experts missed? It's guaranteed there are missed question. Are there expert questions that are not on the test. Again, it's guaranteed. Compare the percentage of question on the test in both table and the advantage of Expert Mode is obvious.
If you want to make sure you study all or the exam's questions or you want to study a broader base of questions don't use Expert Mode and you will study the entire question pool. You can switch back and forth as you desire. One of the major advantages of the W1UL Ham Cram method individualization. When don't decide for you.
